Dear Beau

The distance was too far for his feral lust to fully commit to you, so he had me as his casual comfort. He wanted to exclaim his ‘I love you’s as he rushed through mountain passes to see you, like a kid attempting to play Red Rover. He ran directly into yet another relationship with ambition to forget me in the process, though forgetting me would be too substantial of a task for him to accomplish. He adored the way I conveyed a sense of safety and security, while you strained to convey much at all. It was a bitter taste of irony as the same communication that he desired from you was the communication he would never provide to me. So, while you explore the mountainside, I explored his bed. You called him your boyfriend, and he called you just another man.
