Welcome!!

Hi, I’m Alice Allis (they/them), a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado and Washington State. I believe therapy works best when it feels human, collaborative, and grounded in real life - not stiff or intimidating. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and adults, with a strong focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals in affirming, inclusive ways.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationships, identity exploration, grief, or major life transitions, I aim to meet you where you are with curiosity and compassion. My style blends evidence-based tools with warmth, humor, and authenticity. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

Below you will find additional information about my education, professional background, and therapeutic approach. If you are interested in working with me, I invite you to connect through one of the profiles listed below.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry from Pfeiffer University, where I developed a strong foundation in relational work and youth development. I completed my Master of Social Work at Portland State University, with a focus on medical and school social work. I am currently continuing my education at Widener University, where I am pursuing both a Master of Education and a PhD in Human Sexuality, with a clinical focus on sex therapy. This advanced training deepens my ability to support clients around sexual health, identity, and intimacy from a clinical and affirming perspective. I value lifelong learning and regularly seek opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge.

Education

I bring over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults across a wide range of settings, including childcare, outdoor education programs, academic environments, and clinical spaces. In addition to my clinical work, I have nearly ten years of experience in social services, providing case management and therapy to socially and medically vulnerable adults. This diverse background allows me to understand clients within the broader contexts of their lives, relationships, and systems. My experiences have shaped my flexible, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy. I bring curiosity, humor, and authenticity into my work, helping clients feel comfortable be themselves.

Background

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults navigating stress and anxiety, relationship dynamics, life transitions, grief and loss, and trauma. I have a particular passion for sexual and gender health and providing affirming care to LGBTQIA+ individuals. My work often supports clients exploring identity, managing anxiety, improving communication, and building healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also have extensive experience working with socially and medically vulnerable populations, offering both therapy and case management services. Across my work, I have focused on helping clients feel seen, validated, and supported as they move toward greater balance and self-understanding.

Expertise

My approach to therapy is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support and guide you as we work together toward your goals. I integrate evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Systems Theory to tailor sessions to your unique needs. Therapy with me is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect, with an emphasis on building insight, resilience, and practical coping tools. I prioritize creating a space that feels affirming, inclusive, and safe—especially for LGBTQIA+ clients. Sessions are flexible, relational, and focused on helping you feel empowered both inside and outside the therapy room.

Approach

Whether you’re navigating a difficult season or seeking personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion.
